MUSIC IN MANCHESTER

(Manchester Bands Section)

The Strap On's
Star & Garter 5/4/02

Freshly minted in Manchester, following a lineage descendant from the sprit of `76 the Strap On's take to the stage 30 minutes late. They need to be good to make up for lost time.
They are.
Guitars are trashed and tossed into the crowd; the mic stand hits bassist Lani's head and all manner of riotous shenanigans take place in and around the stage.
The music is fast, Parkinsons fast, yet strangely more compelling. Vocalist Ed launches himself into a willing crowd, before returniing to finsig off his drink.
Surviving on the ethic that music should be fun, fast and tied into a "fuck it" attitude there are no guitar solos here, just a raw, dense mesh of guitar, drums and bass for Ed to wrap his chewed and spat out vocals around
By rights this lot should only be around for a few more months before they burn up in the glow they produce, so cathch them if you can!
