Tripwire are a new and very ambitious five piece Indie/Rock band from Manchester.
Tripwire play a unique set of songs that are finely balanced between melodic and artistic, The band's music exists as an evocative and powerful experience and one that deserves a larger audience.

Brief History
Tripwire formed in 1998 and started performing live in 1999 since then they have been working hard, playing lots of local venues and recording demos. They have had a lot of success and have supported numerous signed bands.
Soviet Records described them as "a very cool looking five piece with an excellent image and some big songs to support it, Tripwire are mining darker indie ballad territory". They also described their gig at the YGG Irish festival as "one of the best performances seen that year" and of their song "Lost "A wonderful piano led song which should get them signed".
The band was one of the first acts to sign for Peoplesound.com in 2000, which has enabled them to communicate with fans and sell music worldwide via the Internet. Tripwire have finished recording their new single "Carry on without me" @ greystoke studio's produced by Andy Whitmore (Elton John, Eternal, Terence Trent Derby & Soup Dragons) and is due for release this year.
