ULTRASOUND  (RIP)
MANCHESTER HOP & GRAPE March 99

Hedonistic, pleasures exude from an anything but Tiny Ultrasound as they provide a rich beautiful tapestry of sound and vision.  Big in size, massive in sound and with an empowering stage presence they managed to provide a delight of a concert at a venue that should have been packed to the gills, but one where you could still buy tickets at the door.  Ultrasound pic 1
The singles were greeted feverously by the adoring crowd that already knew the lyrics -particularly Floodlit World, with a set list comprising of Cross My Heart, Same Band, Kirk Russell, Aire & Calder, My Impossible Dream, Suckle, Stay Young, encoring with Fame Thing and Everything Picture.
A team effort in which each player has to contribute; Andy’s naked upper torso producing the driving rhythm; Richard working the finger magic, dancing up and down the frets; Vanessa’s slinky low slung dynamic bass work that pays

homage to the great Peter Hook, all linked inextricably to Tim’s plaintive entreaties.
Sample the delights before they loose their sparkle.
